About us:

Rhyl Wings Projects - 'Lifting the Spirit of the Community' was set up initially to provide free christmas events for those in our local community. Welsh Government data shows that the amongst the most deprived Council Wards in Wales the Rhyl West area is rated very near top of the list so any community support is vital. Being a deprived area, people have access to toiletries, food, clothing, presents for children in addition to festive entertainment.

Funds are currently generated by generous donations from local businesses, residents and others and based on goodwill.

These events have been run for the past 3 years on an informal basis and proved extremely popular; having a positive impact on the morale of the community.

We have now formed a committee and wish to progress this project.

None of our volunteers receive any payment or expenses of any kind. Any monies raised at the events is given back to the community - last year we donated to the Fire Service, RNLI, Salvation Army, Children's ward, church and others. This year we aim to have a number of fundraising events. Our aim is to now do two events per year. We also plan to have a 'go fund me' page.
